In the studio

Today i’m sharing a photo shoot with ballet dancer Oscar Valdes ( principle dancer at the West Australian Ballet ) in my Subiaco Studio in Perth Western Australia. Oscar came into the studio as part of a larger advertising campaign for mens mental health, once we had the advertising shots approved we took some time to play and capture a few abstract images as well. Using my old wooden table I found in a vintage store many years ago gave Oscar the opportunity to create images that were not all focused on his dance movements but also gave the shoot a more portrait feeling.

tech talk - ( for photographers. ) Shot on Profoto D2 studio strobes with large Octa soft box. Nikon Z9 24-70 2.8 and edited on Ben Q coloured monitors.
